How to become a judge

Do you have at least 5 - 7 years of marketing experience? Are you passionate about agriculture? You are just who we're looking for!

Judges will be required to judge entries from competitors and we expect non-bias judging.  If you are not able to judge competitors' work, then please do not register as a judge

Contact Event Planner Mary Thornley if you are interested in becoming a judge.  Judges will be required to complete an online registration form.

Judging will occur on the following dates.

All judging will be conducted online and completed within the following dates.

Date Location
Round 1 - Online Judging (CAMA members) Thurs, Sept 26 - Mon, Sept 30 Online
Round 2 - Online Judging (CAMA Members & Industry leaders) Wed, Oct 2 - Fri, Oct 4 Online
Round 3 - Best of Show Judging (Industry leaders) Mon, Oct 7 - Wed, Oct 9 Online

Judging Criteria

How will entries be judged?

Entries will be judged based on 3 criteria – PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT, EXECUTION and RESULTS.  Weighting varies depending on the category.

View the 2024 BOC Judging Criteria Rubric to understand how to judge each entry.

Your entry will be reviewed against the criteria by a team of qualified judges with experience in the agri-marketing, advertising and communications industries. The highest scoring entries in each category will be reviewed by a second team of judges, who will select the winners and certificate of merit winners.  The winning entries will then be judged for the Best of Show categories.

Winners are honoured at the CAMA gala.
