SUMMARY

Reporting to the VP, Sales and Marketing, the Client Development Executive will be responsible for growing our business through client acquisition within a specific set of target market segments. This individual will be accountable for research, prospecting and sales outreach, lead nurturing and customer relationship building, the creation of sales opportunities, the development of proposals and live pitches – and ultimately responsible for achieving a set sales target for revenue realized from new business within each 12-month period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Research and understand specific market segments, as identified by our executive.
-Understand industry trends and be able to speak intelligently about common pain points.
-Develop company and contact lists within target segments.
-Work closely with marketing around strategies and tactics to reach sales goals and objectives.
-Engage prospect clients through sales outreach tactics and touchpoints that align with our marketing campaigns and messaging.
-Nurture leads that are captured through inbound content marketing efforts.
-Develop relationships and create sales opportunities.
-Be vigilant along the way about capturing customer data and interactions with all leads in Salesforce.
-Develop and deliver both proposals and live pitch presentations to potential new clients.
-Vet new clients (pre-acquisition) to ensure “right fit” (i.e. alignment with culture, services and financial goals).
-Provide the team with regular reports on new or on-going opportunities and various sales metrics.

Requirements
-1-3 years’ experience in the agriculture or advertising industry would be an asset.
-3-5 years’ experience in sales or marketing.
-Highly knowledgeable on the latest and most effective trends in sales and sales enablement.
-Experienced and proven prospector, able to research markets, define sales targets and pursue effectively.
-A dynamic personality with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
-Experience with Salesforce and other modern sales and marketing platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Outreach) preferred

EDUCATION:
-Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing communications; is an asset
