Robert Mensies

Our President, Robert Mensies, has worked in marketing for 15 years and has the pleasure of focusing on the livestock and food processing sides of agriculture. His company, Edge Marketing Strategies, merged with 6P Marketing last year, where he holds the title of Director of Client Strategy. Robert’s ag experience is complimented with 6P’s existing branding and strategic marketing services where ag sustainability and social license focus continues to occupy his time when not working to build CAMA Manitoba.

Barbara Chabih

Barbara Chabih

Our Past President, Barbara Chabih, is Communications Program Coordinator for the Canola Council of Canada. A longstanding member with over two decades of ag industry experience, Barb is committed to adding value for our agri-marketing colleagues. Most recently, she has focused on chapter communications, particularly through strengthening CAMA’s online presence. Barb is a graduate of The University of Winnipeg’s Marketing Management program, and alumna of Red River College.

Mary Thornley

Mary Thornley, is CAMA Manitoba's Executive Director. She has been with CAMA for the past 9 years as Executive Director and is the Event Manager for Best of CAMA. Prior to CAMA, she spent 5 years as an Account Executive with Kahntact and AdFarm (Calgary).  Mary is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce in Agricultural Business.

Jocelyn Advent

Jocelyn Advent

Jocelyn Advent is the Manager, Business Development for Agribusiness and Life Science at YES! Winnipeg, an initiative within Economic Development Winnipeg. She markets Manitoba’s Ag sector locally, nationally and internationally for business attraction opportunities and growth. Prior to this position, Jocelyn had a 15 year career at The University of Manitoba where she also earned her BA and B.Ed. She looks forward to bringing her network of industry, academic and government contacts to the Strategic Partnership portfolio chair.

Brigitte Burgoyne

Brigitte Burgoyne Communications and Digital Media Specialist at Richardson International, Canada's largest agribusiness and has joined the CAMA board as a director.  Prior to joining Richardson in 2016, Brigitte worked as an Account Manager at Think Shift, a Winnipeg-based Advertising and Consultancy firm.  Before that, she spent six years working for Cargill as their Canadian Manager of Communications and Corporate Responsibility, then later moved into a global role as a Director of Corporate Affairs, focusing on global employee engagement.  She is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg, earning a Bachelor of Arts, a diploma in Public Relations, and certification in Business Management. 

Marty Fisher

Marty Fisher

As Chair of Student Engagement, Marty Fisher brings 25 years of Agri-marketing experience to CAMA Manitoba. As the owner and creative director of Sherpa Marketing Marty has led Sherpa to a position as one of the leading technology driven marketing companies in Canada. Serving clients past and present like Monsanto, G3 (CWB), CCGA and Canola Council provided him the opportunity to experience the industry from seed to table.

Eric Gregory

Eric Gregory

Eric Gregory has joined the CAMA board as a director.  Eric has over 20 years’ experience in the crop-inputs sector through several sales, product management and marketing roles with retailers, distributors and manufacturers.  He has a degree in Agricultural Economics from the U of M and has held other board positions such as Chair the Prairie Certified Crop Advisors program.  Eric is currently Director of Marketing for Brett-Young Seeds Ltd. and looks forward to contributing to the community of Ag marketers here in Manitoba.

Amanda Krasey

Amanda Meyer

Amanda Meyer B.Sc, is the Marketing Coordinator at Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba from the Faculty of Agriculture. She has joined CAMA Manitoba as the Professional Development chair. “I look forward to bringing to light such issues and topics as License to Farm discussions.”

Nathan Mitchell

Nathan Mitchell

Nathan Mitchell is the Marketing Coordinator at MacDon Industries Limited. Nathan has a BA in Environmental Sciences from the University of Manitoba and started with MacDon in 2008. He is excited to be part of the Manitoba chapter as Events chair.
