Robert Mensies

Nature Conservancy of Canada

Chairperson, CAMA

Robert Mensies has served as the Chair of CAMA since 2018. With over 20 years of experience in agri-food marketing, communications, and public relations, he has played a pivotal role in helping agri-businesses increase their market share and supporting agri-food NGOs in building public trust. Currently, he consults with 6P Marketing, a specialized agri-food marketing agency, serves as a senior strategist at Public Trustworks, and works in community relations and engagement at the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

As Chair of CAMA, Robert is dedicated to enhancing member value. He is committed to CAMA’s vision and invests countless hours to advance it. He collaborates with the Executive, represents CAMA at events and meetings, offers guidance to the Board, and promotes the benefits of the alliance within his network.

Under Robert's leadership, CAMA has evolved significantly. He has inspired numerous initiatives, including the launch of the Next in Agri-food webinar series, the creation of the Sustaining Partner Program, which ensures the organization’s financial sustainability, and the introduction of CAMA’s annual Level Up conference. Additionally, he has guided the organization through two major milestones: the expansion of its mandate to encompass the entire agri-food value chain and a comprehensive overhaul of its governance and structure.
This restructuring has paved the way for a more sustainable future, which has never looked brighter for the alliance. The dedicated directors on CAMA’s working board represent all regions and segments of the Canadian food value chain. As Chair, Robert inspires both the Board and the Executive to deliver maximum value for members while enhancing the brand for both the alliance and the industry
