Message as Provincial Director
I’m Megan Wright, your provincial director for Ontario! I have been President of the CAMA Ontario board for the past 1.5 years and am so excited for our new structure and to represent Ontario CAMA members at the national level.

I have been involved in the agriculture industry my whole life. I grew up on a dairy farm which is still run by my family today. I then studied food and agriculture business at the University of Guelph, before starting my career in communications and marketing. I am currently the marketing lead at Grober Nutrition, where I have been working for the past 4 years.
I was first introduced to CAMA when I was in my third year of university. I heard about the CAMA student chapter team and decided to apply. I have always had an interest in marketing, and this felt like a great opportunity to explore that further. After a successful two years on the team, I started my career and stayed engaged as a CAMA member. I later joined the Ontario board in 2022.

As a student on the CAMA team, I had the privilege of meeting many dedicated CAMA members who I began to look up to. When I entered the industry and attended more CAMA events, it was so nice to recognize faces in the room and build those connections further. The connections that I have made through CAMA have been so valuable to me in my career. Not only has CAMA helped me to improve my networking skills and create connections, but the learning opportunities have been key to my professional development. In the early years of my career, especially with COVID hitting less than a year after I graduated, the connection and learning opportunities CAMA provided, played a major role in getting me to where I am today.
With our new CAMA structure, I am excited to represent Ontario on the board and support the organization in continuing to foster connection, professional development and thought-leadership to the Canadian agri-marketing community. I’m also looking forward to continuing to support the University of Guelph CAMA student team and any other colleges/universities interested in CAMA, as I know the value of the CAMA student experience first-hand.

The provincial boards and CAMA executive have worked hard over the last two years to develop a strategy and vision of what we want CAMA to be. We know that you, the members, value CAMA and the opportunities we have provided in the past, and we want to continue to provide that value. As a board we ask all CAMA members to provide feedback and new ideas. I believe this next chapter for CAMA will be the best yet, and engagement from members is what will make that happen. I’m looking forward to seeing all that we can do for agri-marketers and communicators across Canada.
