Producer Panelists:
Wayne Black - Wayne is a cashcrop farmer from Huron County that has adopted the use of Social Media to speak up and speak out for the agriculture industry across Ontario. Wayne is also active in farm organizations including Director with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) and currently enrolled in the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program (AALP) Class 14.
Mark Brock - Mark Brock and his wife Sandi farm near Staffa with their and two children, Jack and Jessica. They work about 1500 acres growing mostly corn, soybean, white beans and winter wheat. Mark also represents Perth County on the board of directors for the Grain Farmers of Ontario.
Peter Gredig - Peter Gredig is a corn, soybean and wheat producer based near London, Ontario. Peter is the former editor of Country Guide East magazine and current President of Kettle Creek Communications. As a partner in AgNition Inc., Peter is involved in developing mobile products and strategies for agri-business, producer organizations and for farmers across North America.
Stewart Skinner - Stewart Skinner was raised on his family’s hog farm near Listowel, Ontario. He received a B. Comm(Agriculture Business) from the University of Guelph and in 2010 graduated from with a M. Sc in Agriculture Economics. Presently, Stewart farms with his family on their 350 sow farrow-finish farm where he is responsible for the nursery and finishing production along with the development of a direct to consumer pork business. Stewart also does freelance writing and occasional lecturing within FARE.
Moderator - Andrew Campbell
Andrew Campbell is passionate about ensuring farmers know how they can access information like never before, and that consumers know what farmers are doing for them every day. Social media and smartphones are big parts of that equation, and Andrew has spoken to groups across Canada about how they are changing the way farms operate. Bellson Farms is a partnership between Andrew, his wife and parents milking holsteins and growing corn, soybeans, wheat, oats and hay. Andrew has worked in radio, television and Internet media as a reporter, broadcaster, writer and marketing planner.
